I remember an episode of Pepper Ann where her mom starts suggesting that she needs to start wearing a bra, her mom not trying to sound too direct refers it as "support".
So it goes through the sort of akward phase of figuring out how to fit a bra and what to get and so fourth.
Then later on she's doing some sort of gym class activity and the teacher is telling her she needs support. Pepper Ann who just went through a gauntlet of painful and embarrassing situations to get her bra fitted and such, simply states that she is fine and has it.
The gym teacher, referring to a buddy to help catch her during the activity then more firmly states that she doesn't have support and needs to get it, in which pepper Ann yells that she has support and lifts her shirt to prove it, thus flashing the entire class.
I legit remember absolutely nothing about that show but that episode was burnt into my brain. Probably because I was like 10 when I saw it and it was territory I was not familiar with. My brain decided that this was very important information and stored it into the "remember forever" section.
